Known for their classic hits, "Satellite", "Crash Into Me", “Don’t Drink the Water”, and "Ants Marching In", the Dave Matthews Band has been the toast of millions of alternative music lovers the world over. The talented foursome (top-notch violinist Boyd Tinsley, professional drummer Carter Beauford, suave lead vocalist and guitarist Dave Matthews, renowned bassist Stefam Lessard and celebrated Saxophonist Leroi Moore), along with their touring members (Saxophonist Jeff Coffin, Trumpeter Rashawn Ross, Electric Guitar Player Tim Reynolds), are going on a summer tour, giving fans another reason to line up for cheap Dave Matthews Band tickets.

Getting the Group Together

Dave Matthews decided to record a tape of his compositions, with the help of some talented musicians (accomplished jazz artists, saxophonist LeRoi Moore and drummer Carter Beauford, then 16-year-old bass prodigy Stefan Lessard, classical violinist, Boyd Tinsley and keyboard player Peter Griesar, who left the group shortly after) in 1991. Little did he know that this move would be the start of a long and fruitful musical career.

The group’s first public performance was way back in April 1991, during Charlottesville City's Earth Day Festival, followed by a successful gig a month after on South Street. After which, they began to regularly play at Eastern Standard and Trax nightclub.

Going Beyond the Charlottesville, Virginia Music Scene

Like all good things, the group’s music could no longer be kept secret. Word began to spread about the awesome band from Charlottesville, Virginia. It didn’t take long for people to start pouring into clubs just to watch the group play. Dave Matthews Band had a steadily growing following. They began to go on tours, and tons of fans clamored to get their cheap Dave Matthews Band tickets.

Remember Two Things

Dave Matthew’s Band’s regional success led to the release of the group’s first album entitled, “Remember Two Things” during the last leg of 1993. The album was performed live in August at Nantucket Island's The Muse Music Club, and released on the second week of November. The album kicked off as the top independent nominee, and carried on to be gold certified under the RIAA.

Dave Matthews Band continued to go on tours, increasing its already large fan base, and the number of people demanding for cheap Dave Matthews Band tickets.

Under the Table and Dreaming

In 1994, Dave Matthews Band recorded its first RCA album, "Under the Table and Dreaming". Several months later, the band went on its first legitimate national tour. This proved to be a success, with tickets selling like hotcakes and fans following them from venue to venue. They even left the United States borders and performed in Europe. They also participated in the 2nd and 3rd years of the Horizons of Rock Developing Everywhere (H.O.R.D.E.) Festival, founded by Blues Traveler way back in 1992.

From then on, there was no stopping Dave Matthews Band. To this day, the group continues to gain the adulation of music lovers all over the world.
