Owl City's studio records include the independent album, "Maybe I'm Dreaming" in 2008, and "Ocean Eyes" via Universal Republic in 2009, as well as singles "Strawberry Avalanche", "Hot Air Balloon", "Hello Seattle", and "Fireflies" (which topped the music charts in India, Sweden, Denmark, Australia, Ireland, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and the United States in 2009). Owl City’s expanding fan base and increase in cheap Owl City tickets sales has made the project the success that it is now.
How It All Began
It was initiated by Adam Young, who began making music using his Mac in the basement of his parents' residence in Owatonna, Minnesota, US-based synthpop endeavor, Owl City, has earned its initial claim to fame through Young's profile in a social networking site, MySpace, in 2007. Back then, Young was working at the Coca-Cola warehouse. He began to create music to weather out his insomnia.
The songs Young uploaded on his MySpace page caught the attention of many people (most of whom are now avid fans and going out of their way to buy cheap Owl City tickets), and even went viral. However, it wasn’t sheer luck that gained Young the popularity he got online. With disco and electronic music influences, Owl City truly showcased Young’s talent for synthpop. In 2008, Young came up with an EP called “Of June” which was also positively accepted. Universal Republic Records saw Young’s potential and signed a contract with to release his album in 2009.
More Than Just a Product of Sleeplessness
From being a cure to insomnia to topping the charts of some of the major countries around the world, Owl City has come a long way from the Youngs’ family basement, and continues to attract electronica fans at an international scale. For March this year, Owl City has scheduled shows in Australia, the Philippines, the United Kingdom and the United States, under "Supporting Cobra Starship" and "Plus Lights and Paper Route". This will no doubt get a lot of fans purchasing cheap Owl City tickets, especially since most of the ones available in his show venues are already sold out.
Young, The Dreamer
A devout Christian, Young maintains a humble attitude and openly declares the importance of Jesus Christ in his life. He also gratefully acknowledges his fans' support. Young claims to be a shy young man from a small town with huge dreams that his fans made into a reality. Preferring his daydreams over the real world, Young explores the very depths of his wide imagination and creates the kind of music that appeals to young people all over the world.
Young, the Do-Gooder
More than just a talented electronica musician, Young also has a kind and generous heart. Together with the American Red Cross, Owl City is raising funds for the victims of the earthquake in Haiti through an SMS promo that allows people to donate $10 directly to the American Red Cross' Haiti Earthquake Victims Outreach Project.
