Rock Aficionados Rush To Get Cheap Alice in Chains Tickets

Once again, heavy metal/ hard rock band Alice in Chains is going on a US and European Tour. Band members include guitarist, singer, and songwriter Jerry Cantrell, lead singer William DuVall, bass guitarist Mike Inez, and drummer Sean Kinney. Fans can get their cheap Alice in Chains tickets on pre-sale in various states.

Coming Together

The rock band was formed by Jerry Cantrell and Layne Staley in 1987, evolving from its beginnings as Diamond Lie. Original band members included Jerry Cantrell, Layne Stanley, Mike Starr, and Sean Kinney. Throughout the years, the band gained popularity, with fans going out of their way to buy cheap Alice in Chains tickets.

Alice in Chains went on a brief hiatus in 2002, when the group’s lead singer died of drug complications. They reunited some years later with a new lead singer and released "Black Gives Way to Blue", their first album after several years.

The Passing of an Icon Paves the Way for New Blood

Co-lyricist, lead singer and guitarist Layne Stanley died in 2002 at the age of 34, after a long struggle with drug abuse, leading to a halt in the band's performances. Stanley maintains that part of the reason why he got high on drugs was because of the turmoil he felt during his parents’ divorce. During Stanley’s last days, he began to talk about his father, and how he believed his success in music would bring his dad back.

Born in Kirkland, Washington in 1967, Stanley started playing the drums as early as 12, and participated in a number of glam bands during the earlier stages of his teens. At 18, together with Johnny Bacolas and James Bergstrom, Staley formed a group called Sleze, which evolved into Alice N' Chainz a year later. The new group disbanded and Staley played guitar for a funk band that disbanded after some years. In 1987, Staley teamed up with Jerry Cantrell to form Diamond Lie, which eventually became Alice in Chains.

3 years after Staley’s untimely death, the band hired a new vocalist, William DuVall, lead singer, guitarist, lyricist and co-founder of rock group, Comes with the Fall, and began to perform actively again. With Duvall on the lead vocals, Alice in Chains released their first album after 14 years of inactivity in 2009, called "Black Gives Way to Blue". Alice in Chains continues to be well-known in the alternative/ alternative rock/ grunge/ heavy metal scene to this day. Those who love good rock music should definitely hurry to buy their cheap Alice in Chains tickets.

Exit Starr, Enter Inez

In the middle of the group's 1993 tour, bassist Mike Starr quit the band to be with his family, and Ticketgeniewas replaced by the talented Mike Inez from Ozzy Osbourne. Inez, who was also linked to other bands like Heart and Black Label Society, was a good fit for the band. A versatile musician, Inez could play both the guitar and the saxophone.
